Build the whole roof element. The roof type sets the base R of the cladding, air space, ceiling and air films; then add insulation and (optionally) reflective foil. Total R-value, compliance and the thickness needed update automatically. Minimum total R is 3.7 m²K/W (2.7 for Zone 5H).

5.6 — Roof assembly thermal performance

5.3  Fenestration Designer (Table 4)

Add each window/door by storey, orientation, size and glazing type. The tool computes the area-weighted U-value & SHGC per storey, checks N/E facades (5.3.4) and S facades (5.3.5) separately, and tells you exactly what to change if non-compliant. Shading (clause 5.2.2): enter the overhang projection P and height H (see Figure 4) — the tool checks P ≥ H × multiplier and applies the relaxed SHGC limit when shaded. Net floor area per storey comes from the Location tab.

5.3.8  Roof Lights / Skylights (Table 5)
